1. Plastic bags are harmful for our environment. It is a non-biodegradable material, on land it makes our soil less fertile, also the harmful chemicals affect the underground water which is when consumed by animals makes them ill. Plastic chokes ponds, lakes and when thrown in ocean it harms the sea life. There is a lot of conscious effort made to reduce the usage of plastic. Now switching plastic bags with canvas or any other fabric can be heavy on the pocket, especially for a retailer who is most of the times not charging for the carry bags. In this situation paper bags serve as the best option.

2. Paper shopping bags are 100% bio-degradable and some of the paper carrier bags are even made from recycled material like Kraft paper counter carry bags. These bags give the user a satisfaction of being in good terms with the nature.
